MOZAMBIQUE

    Mozambique was our initial venture in Africa. With the great help of our colleague , Rita de Silva, we were able to establish a training facility in Maputo. This facility, “Mozarte” gives skills training to women and at risk youth. We also brought the project to the rural village of Macuane where our team gave training on how to make the KLEM shoes. This 2 day workshop resulted in many of the children receiving their first pair of shoes. More importantly, the mothers were left with the skills to ensure that no child should ever again have to go barefoot. We were also accompanied on the trip by Social Services who gave hygiene training.
