The City of Children's Clinic of Mali
In Bamako, Mali  ATEG, with the generous support of Rotary, facilitated the opening of the City of Children’s Clinic of Mali. This free clinic serves the 6,000 street children in Bamako. Until now, there has been little or no health care available to them. ATEG, in partnership with Rotary has changed that. The clinic examines and treats these vulnerable children. For most, this will be the first time they have ever been seen by a physician. The clinic also cares for those living in facilities for poor and abandoned children, as well as those living in Internally Displaced Person (IDP) camps. These are children escaping the violence in Central Mali. The clinic has had a major impact in improving the health outcomes of thousands of street children in Bamako.
